Why Visit Maipú
Maipú is the closest wine region to Mendoza city and one of the oldest in Argentina, with a winemaking heritage of more than a century. Districts such as Russell, Lunlunta, Cruz de Piedra and Coquimbito are home to historic family bodegas, old cellars and some of the finest Malbec, Bonarda and Cabernet Sauvignon in the province.
It’s also olive country. Olive groves have been part of Maipú’s landscape for generations, and local mills still produce excellent extra virgin olive oil, which makes this the perfect tour for food lovers as much as for wine lovers.
